According to Houston reporter Joseph Duarte former Houston forward Reggie Chaney has passed away.

Chaney began his college career with the Razorbacks. He played for former head coach Mike Anderson during the 2018-19 season and was on current head coach Eric Musselman’s first roster at Arkansas in 2019-20.

After transferring to Houston, Chaney averaged 3.6 points and 2.6 rebounds in 104 games, including 24 starts. He was named Sixth Man of the Year in the American Athletic Conference in 2022-23.

Chaney was a member of the 2021 Final Four team, He was 23.

At this time the cause of death is unknown.
