Edge, Nelson Ceaser declares for the 2024 NFL Draft

HOUSTON (COUGARS DEN) — Missouri City, native Nelson Ceaser has officially declared for the NFL Draft after announcing on social media.

Ceaser was probably one of the most underrated players on the defense for the Cougars since his time at UH. In November Ceaser led the Big 12 in sacks, something that most can't say they have the ability to do.

We first saw this defender come to the scene in 2019 under Major Applewhite. At the time Nelson was being recruited by Oklahoma, Georgia, and Nebraska but ultimately decided to stay at home and play with a non powerhouse five school before Houston entering the Big 12.

Fast Forward- Ceaser has special teams experience on the kick coverage, punt coverage, field goal block, and field goal units. The bottom line is, his tackling and ability to defend the run and the pass. This should enable him to make a roster early in his career and contribute on special teams.

He projects as a rotational pass rushing outside linebacker as a rookie.
