Houston head coach Kelvin Sampson and staff wrapped up a pretty successful 2020 recruiting campaign on Wednesday signing three prospects as part of the 2020 recruiting class.

Here's a look at the three prospects who signed.

The 6-foot-9, 200-pound big man from Evansville (IN) signed with Houston over other offers from Creighton, Georgetown, Iowa, Kansas State, Nevada and Xavier to name a few. Powell is the 139th ranked prospect nationally by Rivals.com.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound point guard from Pfulgerville (TX) Manor High School checks in as the 104th ranked player nationally on Rivals and the 22nd ranked point guard in the country. He signed with Houston over other offers from Colorado State, Drexel, SMU, Texas A&M, Texas State and Texas-Arlington.

The Cougars highest ranked signing for the class of 2020 is Tramon Mark of Dickinson (TX) who checks in as the 78th ranked prospect nationally and 17th ranked shooting guard.

Mark signed with Houston over offers from Cal, Oklahoma, TCU and Texas A&M.

Closing Thoughts

I think it's safe to say that Kelvin Sampson has this program headed in the right direction. With multiple successful seasons, trips to the NCAA Tournament and now what looks like a top 25 recruiting class in the books, Sampson could be positioning Houston for sustained success, not only in the AAC, but nationally as well.
