New up and coming point guard Jachai Cantave takes unofficial visit

HOUSTON (COUGARS DEN)— Class of 2026 point guard from Humble, TX took an official visit to campus Saturday 16, 2023.

Cantave was on campus last weekend to view the facilities and watch the football game last weekend. Cantave said that he enjoyed his visits and that coach Sampson made him feel at home. Basketball coaches Quannas White and Kellen Sampson have been recruiting Cantave and talking to him behind the scenes.

Cantave also has a visit with LSU coming up in October, and it seems like that might be Houston's only competition for the point guard at the moment.

New Mexico State, Rice, Lamar, and TCU are also recruiting high school sophomore.
