Twitter erupted with a bang from redshirt freshmen and former Rivals four-star recruit Isaiah Chambers who announced he was officially transferring from TCU.

The standout defensive end reported on Twitter late Monday evening that he would leave Fort Worth and transfer to a university much closer to his home in Houston. Chambers said he needs to be close to the aunt who raised him, who is presently encountering some medical related issues.

Recruited by many Chambers would have his choice of several programs across the country but his desire to be closer to home placed Houston as a likely destination for the former four-star defensive end, a decision he would announce and make official less than 48-hours later.

A redshirt freshman, Chambers has yet to take his first snap in collegiate football. He will likely wind up sitting out a year per NCAA transfer rules but is expected to file a waiver for prompt qualification which could result in immediate eligibility or potentially return a year of eligibility if he sits out 2017 to be closer to his family.
