Houston falls to Miami and ends their journey to the final four

KANSAS CITY, MO- The grand old saying "Houston we have a problem," became valid with the Houston Cougars Friday night when they lost to Miami.

Miami moves forward in the tournament after putting a stop to Houston and defeating the Cougars 89-75 in a long drawl.

No doubt that whoever started this game fast would win but both teams simply played fast Houston just was outplayed even though both teams were combined 20/20 from the free throw line.

Houston overall had a tough time putting up shots the entire night aside from many fouls. The team was trailing Miami by 14 points and still had lots of trouble at one point Jarace Walker even missed a layup.

The thing about Houston and Miami is that the teams look very similar despite having different rankings, which was very apparent tonight. With roughly about three minutes to go in the second half, Houston made a couple of shots, but not enough as Miami kept their score going up as well.

Houston went 2-14 on three's in the second half while Miami went 5-11 just let that sink in. The loss for Houston will definitely sting since the final four will be in Houston, however; the real kicker is what will coach Sampson do with the departure of Jarace Walker and Marcus Sasser.
