Houston Falls Late to Baylor in softball

    WACO, Texas – The University of Houston softball team couldn't overcome a sixth-inning surge from the #21/#20 Baylor Bears, ultimately falling 7-1, on Friday night at Getterman Stadium. Bree Cantu hit her ninth career home run for the Cougars (12-14), finishing 2 for 3 with an RBI. LA Matthews also tallied a hit, extending her hitting streak to three games. Neither team gained much ground offensively in the game's opening stages.
