Head Coach Dana Holgorsen wants the team to play more disciplined football

For the second consecutive season, UH football fell short to Texas Tech, in double overtime on Saturday afternoon at Jones AT&T Stadium.

Head coach Dana Holgorsen has expressed that the team made "stupid" mistakes and that this week's game against Kansas has to be the real deal.

"They play hard and they're coached well it is going to be a huge challenge," Holgorsen said when asked about Kansas.

Kansas football team, which is off to a 2-0 start, aims to make Saturday the team's third win. The Cougars will not make this an easy game for Kansas after Houston's rough loss to Texas Tech the team is will be coming for blood in against Kansas.

Coach Holgorsen talked about the team lacking discipline while playing, “Just a whole lot of stupid stuff,” Holgorsen said after the game. “Stupid, stupid, stupid, undisciplined stuff. I don’t feel like we deserved to win.”

Holgorsen hopes for the team to correct their mistakes and look totally different this weekend because this game matters the most.

Big 12 conference commissioner Brett Yormark will be at the game this weekend in Houston. Coach Holgorsen made it clear that Houston not only needs to win this game, but fans need to pack the stadium and make the team look like a powerhouse school.
