Houston Adds Two to Class of 2020

The Houston Cougars have made a living plucking talent from the DFW area over the years and on Friday Houston head coach Dana Holgorsen and staff secured another talented prospect from the metroplex when Lancaster (TX) CB Theron Stroops committed to Houston as a late addition for the class of 2020. Stroops was previously committed to Baylor, but didn't sign with the Bears.

The Stroops news came not long after the Cougars picked up their first late addition of the day in Hutchinson (KS) Hutchinson Community College cornerback Art Green who checks in as the 14th ranked JUCO prospect overall here on Rivals. The Four-star Green was previously committed to Tennessee.

Both players are talented additions and will certainly give the Cougars cornerback room a boost heading into the season, but Green comes in as a seasoned JUCO prospect that gives the Cougars a bit of length and maturity at the cornerback position and should be able to come in and compete pretty early for some quality reps.

With the additions of Green and Stroops, the Cougars now have four defensive backs headed to campus for the class of 2020.
