The Houston Cougars saw their first game with a dominant pass rush last Saturday as the defeated cross town rival Rice at Reliant Stadium to retain the coveted Bayou Bucket.
On key contributor in the win over Rice was defensive tackle Joey Mbu who has worked his way into the starting line-up and made several plays in the Rice backfield.
Mbu attributes his success to working on his feet and hands more as well as the Cougars' strength and nutrition programs which has helped him reshape his body since he got on campus two years ago.
Mbu was part of the player continent that met with the media on Tuesday and CougarsDen spoke with him exclusively about his progress and the strides he has made.
